    David Katz, born on March 8, 1922 in Chust, Czechoslovakia (present-day Khust, Ukraine), discusses hiding in Budapest from 1941 to 1943; internment in Auschwitz (tattoo #42913) in 1944; internment in multiple Gross-Rosen subcamps including Fünfteichen, Breslau, amd Markstädt in 1944; internment in Görlitz from 1944 to February 1945; internment in Zittau in February 1945; liberation at Zittau by the Soviets on May 8, 1945; his hospitalization in Italy postwar; immigrating to Montreal in 1951; and immigrating to the United States in 1961.
