    Marta Okon (née Liquornik), born on March 21, 1925 in Vo?l?beni, Romania, discusses her family’s grocery store; finishing high school before the Hungarian occupation; going to the Budapest ghetto to join her grandparents from April to November 1944; a forced march to Dachau/Kaufering Lager II; forced labor as a maid for the SS; access to extra food; the kindness of older, retired Wehrmacht guards; living in Landsberg displaced persons camp postwar; living in Israel from 1949 to 1960; and immigrating to the United States on October 10, 1960.
