    Interview Summary
    Hugo Princz, born on November 22, 1922 in Silvaš (Slivník), Czechoslovakia, discusses having United States citizenship because his Czech father had become a citizen while working in the United States; the United States citizenship being not helpful due to the inaction of the United States embassy; his deportation to Majdanek concentration camp in 1942; internment in Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1942; forced labor as a bricklayer building crematoria; forced labor cleaning the ghetto in Warsaw in 1943; internment in Dachau concentration camp for a few weeks in 1944; internment in Waldlager (Mühldorf) labor camp until liberation; and immigrating to the United States.
