Jecheskiel and Gertrude Rottholz Steinfink papers
Document
Contains a passport, documents, photographs and correspondence related to the experiences of Jecheskiel Steinfink and Gertrude Rottholz Steinfink (donor's parents) who fled Nazi-occupied Vienna, Austria. Included is letter from Gertrude or "Trude" in Vienna to Jecheskiel or "Ossy" in London, where he first fled before continuing on to the United States in 1940. Trude, still in Vienna in 1939, managed to immigrate to the United States shortly thereafter, reuniting with Ossy, whom she married in the United States.
Prayer book
Object
Gebetbuch für Israeliten, a German and Hebrew language prayerbook published in Budapest. The prayerbook, from a bar mitzvah, was saved by Owen, the donor's father. The inside is inscribed to Hans Sprinzeles on the occasion of his Bar Mitzvah in Vienna on 13 November 1920.
