Jeannette Nadle (née Bertman), born on October 10, 1931 in Brussels, Belgium, describes her family; life under the German occupation; going into hiding with her family in late 1942; their interactions with resistance group members who kept her family fed; and receiving aid from the resistance group when she needed an appendectomy while in hiding.
