Gertrude Winter papers

Contains materials related to the life and work of Gertrude Winter, a first- and second-grade teacher for girls at the "Volksschule der Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde Wien," which was located in the Castellezgasse in Vienna. The school was closed in the summer of 1941The papers contain four identical poems all signed by Students (Sternlein - Star), and all decorated with crayon drawings. The papers also contain one empty notebook with a blotter, two envelopes, one photograph (proposed mausoleum for Theodore Herzl) and a newspaper clipping, ca 1940. In addition, the papers include three pages of writings, some with drawings, pertaining to learning about telling time.
