Henry Eisenberg (1922-2020) was born Chil Ajzenberg on April 20, 1922 in Iwaniska, Poland. He had seven siblings. During the Holocaust, Henry and his brother Max were deported to Starachowice labor camp. In July 1944 the brothers were among those who escaped the camp as it was being liquidated. After the war, Henry lived in several displaced persons camps, including Turkheim. He married fellow survivor Luba Cytrynbaum (later Lillie Eisenberg) in 1945. They immigrated to the United States in 1949, and later settled in New Jersey. The couple had four children: Leib Ajzenberg (b. 1946, later Larry Eisenberg), Sheldon Eisenberg, Elliot Eisenberg, and Philip Eisenberg.

- Rectangular, white shawl with matching sets of vertical black and white stripes of varying widths repeated on each end. There are blue additions at each corner of the shawl as well as a strip of blue fabric for the atarah stitched to the edge of the shawl.

The collection consists of postwar documents related to Henry Eisenberg (born Chil Ajzenberg), originally of Iwaniska, Poland, and his wife Lillie Eisenberg (born Luba Cytrynbaum), originally of Klimontów, Poland. Included are a Ketubah and marriage certificate, a 1961 copy of Luba’s birth certificate (listing her birth year as 1927), naturalization certificates, and a copy of a letter denying their application for admission to Canada in 1949.
