Bachrach and Steinhardt families collection

Photographs (8), document, object illustrating the experiences of Enny Bachrach and her husband Siegfried Steinhardt who individually immigrated to Bolivia from Vacha, Germany and Vienna, Austria respectively, where they met, married and had daughter Evelyn in 1943. Included in the collection are WWI images of Louis Bachrach, the father of Enny, both in his battalion and in a field hospital. as well as later undated images of various family members. Also included are birth certificates for Siegfried Steinhardt (issued by Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Wien, 1934), Enny Bachrach (issued by the civil authorities in Vacha, 1907), Evelina Steinhardt (issued in La Paz, Bolivia, 1943), and two immigration documents issued to Enny Bachrach, one from civil authorities in Eisenach, Germany (1939) and the other from the Bolivian consulate in Hamburg (1939). Also included is a Jewish wedding certificate (ketubah) for Enny and Siegfried, issued in Bolivia, and a cover for a German passport (without the contents).
