Aerial view of the Nuremberg Palace of Justice and prison, where the war crimes trial of the International Military Tribunal was held and its defendants incarcerated.

In the foreground is the Palace of Justice. The structure on the right that is connected to the the main building by a passageway, is the location of the actual courtroom. The main part of the Palace of Justice housed the offices of those working on the IMT. In the background are the four wings of the Nuremberg prison. The IMT defendants were housed in the far right wing; the witnesses in the left wing; and other prisoners in the two center wings.
