The original caption, typed on the verso, reads, "Flag ceremony at a displaced persons camp at Hagenow Germany, containing 3000 people representing 14 different nationalities.  The camp is in charge of an American Allied Military Government unit headed by Pfc. Joe Derescavage of Philadelphia, Penn."
