Hungarian soldiers lead former minister Lajos Remenyi-Schneller to execution in the courtyard of the Budapest Academy of Music.
Remenyi-Schneller was tried along with Dome Sztojay, Antal Kunder, Jeno Ratz, and Lajos Szasz by a People's Tribunal in the Budapest Academy of Music for his role in both the destruction of Hungarian Jewry and for sacrificing his country's interests by collaborating with the Third Reich. The trial began on March 14, 1946 and ended only 8 days later on March 22, 1946 when all of the defendants were convicted, and subsequently executed.
