Simon Anker (front row, second from the left) poses with his five sons in Zoppot, a suburb of Danzig.

Pictured in the front row are: Heinrich, Simon, and Arthur Anker. In the back row are: Paul, Leo, and Georg Anker. With the exception of Georg, all lived in Danzig and were active in the family grain business. Georg, ran a men's clothing manufacturing business in Berlin. During the Nazi period Heinrich, Arthur, Paul, and Leo left Danzig in October, 1938. Georg left Berlin in July 1939. Heinrich, Arthur, Paul, and Georg settled in Los Angeles, while Leo settled in London.
