    View of the memorial sign for the victims of the Gardelegen barn atrocity. The sign was originally erected at the burial site of the vicitims by the U.S. Army, which had later been moved by East German authorities to the local cemetery, where it served as a partial wall for a tool shed. After the reunification of Germany, a replica of the sign was made and replaced at the original site.
