Standing, from the right: Joshua; his mother, Rebecca; his brother, Zev. Sitting, from the right are: Josef Rost, donor's maternal uncle; Noe Rost, a maternal grandfather, who was a government official responsible for registration of births, weddings and deaths in the Jewish community; Shraga Faivel Heilman, donor's father and Roza Shoshana, donor's sister, sitting in front of her grandfather.

Joshua Heilman, also known as Oskar Henryk, left for Palestine on August 22, 1939. He studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and in 1942 enlisted in the British army.
