Photograph | Photograph Number: 68367

Paul-Gerhard Kusserow with a knapsack behind the family home in Bad Lippspringe.

The Kusserow children used this knapsack to remove religious literature from the house and hide it in the garden when warnings of impending Gestapo searches were received. In this way the family was able to hide their literature through 18 searches by the Gestapo from 1933 to 1945.
