The awarding of medals for fencing at the 1936 Berlin Olympic games.

The Gold medalist was Ilona Schacherer of Hungary, the Silver medalist Helene Mayer of Germany, and the Bronze medalist Ellen Preis of Austria. Mayer, a championship fencer, was a half-Jewish German residing in the United States and was allowed to join the German team only after American diplomatic pressure.
