    German girls place flowers on the coffins of seven Russian victims hung by their captors in Muehlheim. The bodies were recovered by German civilians under the supervision of U.S. troops of the 194th Gilder Regiment, 17th Airborne Division. The townspeople of Muehlheim were forced to attend funeral services for the victims.
