Auschwitz photo mural and affadavit signed by Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Hoess, displayed on the third floor of the permanent exhibition at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. The affadavit, dated May 14, 1946, states that during Hoess' term as commandant two million inmates were gassed and 500,000 were killed in other ways at Auschwitz.
