The theme of this year's commemoration was "The Holocaust and the New Century: The Imperative to Remember." Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson delivered the keynote address, and Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Stuart E. Eizenstat were recognized for their extraordinary contributions.
