Standing on the left: Shalom Sonenson Ben-Shemesh and his wife Miriam. On the right: Miriam's relatives the Bergmans. The little girl is Gittele Sonenson, the oldest daughter of Shalom and Miriam. The Bergmans immigrated to Cuba. Miriam Sonenson was murdered in the Radun ghetto. Gittele died of TB while hiding in a cave on the Korkus farm a few days before liberation. Shalom Sonenson (Ben-Shemesh) survived the Holocaust hiding in various locations.
