Photograph | Photograph Number: 40488

The inauguration of an electrical power plant building, which also housed the new electric flour and saw mills.

The power plant was built and owned by the Kiuchefski family and Moshe Kaganowicz. Standing in front of the building are (left to right) Shlomo Kiuchefski, Dora Zlotnik Berkowicz, Zeev Kaganowicz, and wife, Masha (née Kiuchefski).

Two Kaganowicz brothers, Moshe and Zeev married two Kiuchefski sisters, Hannah and Masha. Moshe and Hannah moved to Vilna. In addition to his partnership in the electric power plant, Moshe also served as an agent for a cosmetic company. Dora immigrated to Palestine; Zeev and Masha were murdered by the Germans; Shlomo was killed by the AK.
