Group portrait of Jewish refugee girls, who had come to England on a Kindertransport.

The girls are standing in front of Cockley Cley in Swaffham, Norfolk, having been evacuated there on September 2 from the B’Nai Brith hostel in Hackney (London).

Pictured in front are: Frida Kohn (left) and Tea Herzberg (later Katz, right). Standing behind them, from left to right, are: Hanna Reissner, Mrs. Reissner (partially hidden), Anita Schiller, Lilly Schischa (later Tauber), Ruth Wassermann (later Segal), Rita Wislicki, Sylva Avramovici, Gretel Heller and Lilly Kohn (later Groewald).
