A group of female survivors stands outside a barracks in the newly liberated Lenzing concentration camp.

The woman in the center wearing a striped uniform top (prisoner number 571) has been identified as Renate Grau. She was deported from Berlin to Theresienstadt with her parents, Hubert and Hertha, and then to Auschwitz where her parents were murdered. Renate was then transported to Lenzing, where she was liberated After a period of time in Italy, she settled in Palestine.
