Rabbi Eliyahu Frances, chief rabbi of the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam, and his wife Diamante Tazartes stand in front of a group of people leaving the synagogue.
Standing in the back is his son, Jacques Frances. He survived, but his parents Rabbi Eliyahu Frances and Diamante Tazartes and their youngest son Daniel were killed in Monowitz in 1942.
