    Biography
    Lt .Colonel George Raymond Snyder was commissioned into the Officers Reserve Corps on August 19, 1933 after graduating from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He was ordered to active dury on April 3, 1941, and in 1944 he was deployed to the European theater as a combat engineer officer. After the end of the war, he was stationed in Dachau where subsequent war crime trials were held. He was attached to the war crimes trials from 14 October 4 to 17 November 1947. George R. Snyder was discharged from active military service in 1947 and completed his career in Electrical Engineering in West Virginia coal mines. He was born August 30, 1910 and died September 26, 1995.
