The original caption reads:
Germans Queue to See Belsen Atrocity Film
On the instructions of the local military authorities inhabitants of Minden, Germany attended a cinema to see a film dealing with the Belsen, concentration camp. After a time there were so many people trying to get into the cinema that further showings had to be stopped because of the insufficient personnel were available to deal with the crowds. The comparatively few Germans who saw the film were visibly impressed and it was due to the testimony of these people that such a large crowds gathered later and had to be dispersed.
