Samuel Kottlarzig (a great uncle of the donor) stands in front of his distillery for wine and vinegar in Ohlau, Schlesien, Germany.

He and his three children Else, Sofie and Alfred also owned a pub in Ohlau .The three of them were killed by the Nazis in concentration camp - probably Auschwitz. Their sister Regina survived Terezin.
