The staff of the DP newspaper, Unterwegs [The Transient], at work in their office in the Zeilsheim displaced persons' camp.
Unterwegs was first issued under the name Unzer Mut [Our Courage] in November 1946. It was printed in a typewritten, mimeographed form on poor quality paper. Edited by Samma Weise, the weekly consisted of "morale-building" articles, camp news and gossip, discussions of Jewish problems, and poetry written in Hebrew and Yiddish. The publishing of "hard news" was prohibited by American military and UNRRA regulations.
