    Overview

    Summary
When the Gestapo arrest University of Munich graduate student Beth Ramka for anti-Nazi activities with the secret White Rose Society, she is terrified. That very day, three other White Rose members had been guillotined and Beth, too, is sentenced to death. However, a last-minute reprieve sends her instead to the notorious Ravensbruck Concentration Camp for five years at hard labor. While imprisoned, Beth and her fellow inmates struggle to survive the camp's harsh treatment and inhumane conditions. Facing life-threatening situations, she summons all her courage and resolves to live through her ordeal.
