    Sgt. Chris Makas, born in Detroit, MI, describes being drafted in August 1943 when he was 18 years old; being a member of the 63rd Infantry Division of the United States Army; being in combat in Europe from December 1944 to May 1945; being in the Battle of the Bulge; his occupation duties from May 1945 to April 1946; and his participation in the liberation of the Kaufering concentration camp. The interview includes pictures.
