    Anne Levy, born in Łódź, Poland, discusses how she was four years old when the Germans invaded Poland in 1939; witnessing the destruction of the scrolls from the synagogue; her experience in the Warsaw ghetto; how she and her family members were smuggled out of the ghetto just before the major uprising; living in Poland as Christians under Aryan rule; and their liberation by the Russians in 1945.

    The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO), in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at Stennis Space Center, donated the recording with Anne Levy to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Oral History Branch in March 2012. NAVO produced the recording during its annual Holocaust Days of Remembrance ceremony in May 2000.
