    Biography
    During World War II, Chris J. Battersby served with the U.S. Army's 102nd Reconnaissance Troop, which was attached to the 102nd Infantry Division; he and some other soldiers from this division reonnoitered the environs of Gardelegen, Germany, on or about 15 Apr. 1945.
