    Interview Summary
    Siegfried Wulkan, born on May 28, 1910 in Rajcza, Poland, discusses his childhood in Rajcza; his education and work; the antisemitism he experienced beginning in 1939; being deported with his family to a ghetto in Sucha Beskidzka, Poland in 1940 and the conditions there; the work he performed; being deported to Klettendorf, and his experiences there, including the brutality of the guards; his subsequent transfers to other labor camps, including Breslau-Hundsfeld, Hirschberg, and Buchenwald; being sent on a death march from Buchenwald to Terezin; being liberated by the Soviet Army; the response of the camp guards to the approaching Allied forces; his medical condition at the end of the war; his search for living family members; his postwar experiences in Poland; his immigration to Israel in 1950 and his life there; his subsequent move to the United States in 1956; his life in the US; and the psychological impact of his wartime experiences.
