    Overview

    Interview Summary
    The interview describes Mr. Nepomyashy's childhood in Kharkov, Ukraine; his military service in the Ukrainian Air Force; and his unit's retreat to Latvia. He describes arriving at Treblinka in May 1945 and learning about the camps from survivors there. He describes his life after the war in Chechnya, his immigration to the United States in 1979, and his experiences as an immigrant in America.
