01:01:13 Julius Blatt walks towards the Arc de Triomphe as the camera pans left, tilts up, pans left and tilts back down to focus on Julius again. Julius walks across the busy street, looking at the camera as bikers and cars go past. Julius lights a cigarette with the Eiffel Tower in the background. He walks towards the camera smoking the cigarette. The camera tilts up on the Eiffel Tower. Henri Bouchard’s Apollon Musagète [Apollo with a Lyre] at the Palais de Chaillot. Camera pans up on a quote which says “Il dépend de celui qui passe - Que je sois tombe ou trésor - Que je parle ou me taise - Ceci ne tient qu' à toi - Ami n' entre pas sans désir” (It depends on who passes, Whether I be tomb or treasure; Whether I speak or am silent; This one depends on you. Julius Blatt (1917-2002, Jewish) was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946. He served as Plans and Intelligence Officer. He led an advance party into Nuremberg and into Munich to obtain National Socialist Party secret documents and for this service was awarded a Bronze Star medal. He was also part of the crew that liberated Dachau. After combat, he served as commander in Paris controlling all prisoner of war labor - 60,000 personnel - in all warehouse, ordnance, and engineer shops. He lived in England after the war. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

This collection captures the art and architecture of Paris, France, primarily filmed by Julius Blatt, an American soldier. There are views of Paris streets, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Palais de Chaillot and the Tuileries Garden, amongst other Paris tourist spots. Blatt also films a lively show at the Folies Bergère, the famous Paris music hall and cabaret. After showing views from the window of a plane in flight, there are shots of American soldiers outside of the fence of a possible POW camp. They then board a boat, and the film ends back in Paris along the Seine River.
