- Reports, correspondence, registers, declarations, financial reports, statistics, application and permits relating to survivors of the war, Jews and Poles. Includes documents on medical assistance for returning and repatriates, the fate of real estate belonging to Jews before the war (so-called abandoned property), population statistics, permits for running and liquidating Jewish enterprises, construction and activity of the Jewish theater, matters of Jewish religion (choice of rabbi, ritual slaughter). In addition, includes documents from various associations and organizations: the Health Protection Society (TOZ), the Association of Former Prisoners, the Jewish Historical Commission, the Association of Jewish Journalists and Writers and others.

- Arranged in nine groups: 1. National City Council; 2. Presidium; 3. Social Welfare Department; 4. Department of Health; 5. Technical Department; 6. Economic Department; 7. Statistical Department; 8. Department of Approval and Trade; 9. Administrative Department. Each group has separate reference numbering of files.

- Reproduction of more than 100 pages of copies of documents for researchers or other institutions requires a written permission of the General Director of the State Archives of the Republic of Poland. Publication of more than 10 complete documents in an individual work requires the written authorization of the General Director. The Museum may not publish any archival material obtained from the General Director, including specific archives under his control, on the Internet, the World Wide Web, or any other publicly accessible on-line network without the written permission of the General Director. Citation of the materials in any publication must refer to the Museum and the Polish State Archives and must include the name of the archival group and catalogue number of the originals.

- Source of acquisition is the Archiwum Państwowe w Łodzi, Poland, Sygn. 222. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum International Archival Programs Division in January 2020. This is a cooperative project based on the agreement between USHMM and Yad Vashem, Israel.
