Abraham (Abe) Hershkowitz was an active member and organizer for the Amalgamated Clothing Workers union in the 1930s. He was also a journalist, writing in Yiddish for the Forward and contributing to the union magazine.

- This home movie was donated to the Museum of Jewish Heritage in 2000 by Lawrence Harris, the grandson ofAbraham Hershkowitz. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum digitized several amateur film originals from the Museum of Jewish Heritage collections (New York) in 2019-2020.
