Wolf and Zofia Paszko Białystok photographs
Document
The collection consists of photographs depicting the prewar, wartime, and postwar experiences of Wolf Paszko and Zofia Paszko (née Właźnik), who met as Jewish refugees in Kant, Kyrgyzstan in 1941. Prewar photographs include depictions of Wolf with his family in Białystok, Poland and one with Zofia and her family in Łomża, Poland. There is one wartime photograph of Wolf and Zofia in Kyrgyzstan in 1942. The bulk of the photographs are postwar depictions of activities involving Wolf and Zofia in Białystok, including the exhumation of bodies from mass graves and their reburial in a cemetery, and a May Day procession in 1950 with Wolf’s industrial cooperative Stol-Met.
