- Major J.W. Bost of the 35th Infantry Division, Ninth U.S. Army, interrogates Lieutenant Herman Meyer (left), who was a Nazi storm trooper at the Lahde concentration camp near Hanover, Germany. Bost is holding a leather thong whip which Meyer said he used only to "beat rugs." Liberated prisoners claimed he used it to whip the prisoners.
