Caption: The winners of the 100m dash on the medal stand at the 11th Summer Olympic Games.

Saluting, are Jesse Owens (Gold), and Ralph Metcalfe (Silver). The Bronze went to M. B. Osendarp of Holland. Owens set a new record in the event recording a 10.2 time which was disallowed by German officials who claimed Owens had benefitted from a tailwind.
