The Germans took pictures of Langweil to send home to their friends and family to show what a Jew looks like.  He worked as a cleaner at the police station. When three prominent Jews were forced to clean there, Langweil was told to supervise them. Instead, he did the work for them, saying that the work was unsuitable for men of their stature.
