- Summary
- The story of Faye Schulman, a Polish Jew who survived the mass murder of her family in 1942, because as a young photographer she was useful to the Nazis. She later escaped and joined a group of partisans with whom she lived for the next three years, participating in sabotage operations and raids, documenting these years with a camera. Then, for the next 50 years she lived an ordinary life in Canada, raising her children.
