Summary: Examines the history of eugenics, racial hygiene and the ideas of the "new man," as developed in the early 20th century in Germany and the Soviet Union. In Germany, race hygiene focused on the body, on corporal beauty and the ideal form, while in the Soviet Union, eugenic interest focused on the brain and intellect.
