Overview
- Summary
- This program reveals one of the darkest secrets in Spain's recent past and the fate of the children of Republican prisoners and the splitting up of families as part of Franco's brutal repression. Alicante refugees are interviewed about their experiences during Franco's dictatorship where they experienced human suffering, torture, and death. Families were separated with many children located to Social Aid orphanages, where they were brainwashed to despise their parents' ideals and serve the New Order.
