- Summary
- Based on a true story, Maria, a spirited young Austrian woman, leaves the convent to become governess to the seven children of widowed Captain von Trapp. Maria and the captain marry, and as Nazism envelops Austria, the musically-talented family leaves the country to perform around the world.
