- Summary
- The title character is a Jewish Holocaust survivor, formerly a vaudeville star in pre-World War II Germany, who has come to Israel after the war to begin a new life. He has, however, been so traumatized by his concentration camp experiences, that he runs away from an Israeli reception camp and continues to run until he finds a love that makes him feel safe.
