- Summary
- Unification or occupation? Good or evil? The events of "Golden September" were for decades considered classified secrets, forbidden from the attention of historians and forgotten by society. Multicultural, prewar Halychyna (Galicia) fell victim to two of the 20th century's most infamous dictators -- Hitler and Stalin. This film is based on the testimony of the witnesses to these events -- representatives of the Ukrainian, Polish and Jewish communities. Newsreels and commentary from leading scholars and historians are references throughout the documentary.
