    Overview

    Summary
A fascinating look at the pioneers of the first and second aliyot, or waves of Jewish immigration, in Palestine: Bilu members celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first pioneers, Yosef Trumpeldor ploughing the fields, the first Herziliyah Gymnasia graduates, Boris Shatz and the Bezalel students, David Yellin and the Ezra students on the eve of the "language war", etc. Includes footage of Jewish urban life in Tel Aviv, Hebron, Tiberias and Haifa during the Spring of 1913 and of the communities of Petach Tikva, Hadera, Zichron Ya'akov and Rehovot.
