    Summary
    Frieda Lefeber tells the story of her life from her birth in Germany in 1915 until today. She shares her vivid memories of post World War I Germany and the Nazi persecution of the Jews. Frieda escapes Hitler's Germany in 1939 arriving in New York alone and penniless. She forges a new life in a new country overcoming many hardships.
