    Provenance
USHMM Copy 1 donated on February 18, 2020, by Eli Ehrenpreis, in memory of his father-in-law, Zelik Epelbaum, whose family perished in the Holocaust during the massacre of the Jewish population of Kobrin.
USHMM Copy 1: Inscription on verso of series title page, written by the author, Rabbi Davin Schönberger, Chief Rabbi of Aachen, Germany, on November 17th, 1938, one week after witnessing the great Synagogue of Aachen being destroyed on Kristallnacht. The book is inscribed in German to Rabbi Schönberger's ..."former pupil, Inge Meyersohn, nee Königsberger, on the day of her wedding during a grave time for Judaism. Even if all of its houses of G-d were to cease to be, Judaism will not perish as long as there are Jews who summon the source of existence through the strength of prayer! That is the meaning of living Judaism."
